The Danger Of Rejecting Jesus

Hebrews 9:27: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

If men are not willing to love Him in this life after their death it will be too late. If they are not willing to serve Him in this life, after their death it will be too late. If they don*t want Him in this life, they will not find Him in eternity. If they don*t want to obey Him in this life, they will die in their sins. If they don*t trust Him in this life they will not trust Him after their death. If they don*t receive eternal life in this life they will never get it. If they do not receive Jesus when He offers Himself to them, they will regret it forever.

1 John 3:14: We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

John 3:36: He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 8:21: Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. 24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Isaiah 55:6: Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Psalms 69:13: But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

Hebrews 4:7: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

1 John 5:11: And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Men would like to choose the day that they will receive Jesus. They would like to live their whole lives for self and then surrender to Christ the day before they die. There are problems with that. One problem is that they do not know what day they will die. Another problem is that every day they reject Him they harden their hearts and diminish the possibility that they will ever receive Him. His call to them will eventually fall on deaf ears. Another issue is that He wants to live in their hearts and improve their lives. The sooner the better.

Ephesians 3:17a: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; . . .

Mark 8:35: For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel*s, the same shall save it.
